Optical Sensor Experimental & Developmental Laboratory

At the Optical Sensor Experimental and Developmental Laboratory, staff investigate chemical and biological air contaminants manipulating light detection and ranging systems, laser based point sensors and other experimental systems. Here staff can detect air pollution in and around surrounding building structures; identify disease-causing agents in the environment and at food handling facilities; and perform other experimental investigations involving pollen, rusts, fungi and naturally occurring aerosols.
